Chart Settings
Located at the top right is the [Chart Settings]
button. Tap this button to show the drop down menu with the chart configuration options.
Period
The Period choice enables you to switch between several time periods for the chart; tap the button corresponding to the time period you desire and the chart switches to display in that time period. The available choices are:
- 1 minute
- 2 minutes
- 3 minutes
- 5 minutes
- 10 minutes
- 15 minutes
- 30 minutes
- 1 Hour
- 2 Hours
- 4 Hours
- 8 Hours
- Daily
- Weekly
- Monthly
- Yearly
Tools
The Tools option enables you to draw trend lines or shapes onto the chart. See Use the Charts topic for instructions.
Settings
The Settings option on the menu displays the interface to configure the chart. The interface is divided into the following categories.
Chart Displays
- Main chart type - a pop-up enables you to select from: Candle, Bar, Line or Mountain chart.
- Display Trade Buttons - checkbox to enable or disable trading from the charts when in portrait mode. When enabled, buttons to enter an order or place a trade using a market order is shown at the bottom of the portrait mode chart. Enabling this option also disables the bottom display area indicator. See Trade from Charts.
- Top display area - a pop-up enables you to select the indicator shown just below the chart when in portrait mode. Select from: RSI, Stochastic or MACD.
- Bottom display area - this is only available when Display Trade Buttons is disabled. A pop-up enables you to select the indicator shown at the bottom of the screen when in portrait mode. Select from: RSI, Stochastic or MACD.
- Price type - choose whether the chart is showing the Bid, Ask or Mid price.
- View Positions - when enabled, all open positions in this market are shown on the chart.
- View Orders - when enabled, all active orders in this market are shown on the chart.
Relative Strength Index (RSI)
Configure the RSI indicator parameters in this section.
- RSI period
- Wilders RSI - On/Off
- Use 80/20 or 70/30 values
Simple/Exp Moving Average (MA/EMA)
Enable or disable showing moving averages on the chart and configuring the parameters in this section.
- MA/EMA periods
- EMA On/Off
Stochastic Oscillator (Stoch)
- Periods for the fast and slow lines
Moving Average Converg/Diverg (MACD)
- Periods for the EMAs and signal line.
Colours
- Stoch/MACD Colours On/Off when signal line crossovers occur.
